red rose

I wanted the rose to be dark and mysterious.  I don't know if I managed it but I liked the result anyway.

bite by bite

Just a bird eating.  I like the colors and all my flying friends.  I may do something like this again soon since flying is a dream of mine that this pal has easily in this pocket (if he had a pocket!). :)

Away from the others

18 x 24 cm (7.2" x 9.5")

oil on canvas

It's the how we feel some times, away and lonely, alienated from others, inside but also independent and complete. Other times good and other times not so good. It was like my feelings yesterday I paint it, very simple but I liked it exactly this way.

Yellow flower

18 x 24 cm (7.2" x 9.5")

oil on canvas

Just shiny and bright. We are still in spring and I found out that I love flowers, especially the flowers that brighten the place around them. I suppose I need this glare.

The first sprout

20 x 25 cm (8" x 10")

oil on canvas panel

It's the first sprout that starts everything. Every beginning with its difficulty at start, the struggle and the force, the pain and the awe of the new way of seeing. Hesitatingly and magnifically, every next step is smoother and easier.

Alone in the dark

Standing alone in the dark. I think it's waiting for something - to fall or to be eaten maybe.

Lady Bug

25 x 35 cm (10" x 14")

oil on canvas panel

Yes, it's spring and the week before I wanted to find something suitable to celebrate. This lady is so wise living a simple life in harmony with nature. I am a bit jealous.

Bird on tree

25 x 35 cm (10" x 14")

oil on canvas panel

Created on the 7th of January 2009.

The first painting of this year. I painted a loving subject to celebrate a new beginning. I wonder how it's gonna go from now on like the bird wondering and thinking about whatever a small bird may think.

oil on canvas panel

Road to the mountains.

Bare tree

40 x 70 cm (16" x 28")

oil on canvas

Half inside the earth and half outside, this tree still hangs on.

Wall of trees

14,5 x 21 cm ( 5,8" x 8,4")

oil on canvas

The one next to the other, these trees create a wall for the uninvited.
